...So we found a company called Total Creative Freedom [actually they found us, but that's even cooler]. We'll probably call them TCF from this point onwards,but the important thing is that they share the same view as ourselves regarding the outdated way in which the music industry conducts itself. Pepper, Eugenie and Graham...take a bow!!!
The upshot of this meeting of the minds [?!] is that SPARROW and TURNCOAT are now going to release their first albums through the TCF/Numbskull HQ imprint. With distribution through Proper.
But before this can happen we have to begin the painstaking task of getting the bands on the critical radar. This includes sending cd's and musical links to LOTS of DJ's, Magazines, Bloggers and Journalists. This is where YOU come in. If there are any organizations/individuals that you feel are relevant [or even just very good at what they do] drop us a line and we will check them out. We feel that it's very important we reach the RIGHT sort of person...the kind of human being with heart, soul and VERY good taste...not unlike yourselves....
The evening of Saturday 24th July 2010 saw the official launch party of Numbskull HQ. The show was a real success with all 4 bands playing amazing sets. A lot of people turned up to watch the show [audience = stars!] and we filmed [thank you Matt Grover] 2 live songs from each band. We also conducted short interviews with everyone just before they performed. We will be uploading the results to the Numbskull HQ You Tube page in the near future. We are also compiling a short documentary which will include various snippets of the bands and Numbskull employess [!!] in various stages of action and repose...
